Wednesday 09 June: Vaccination clinics

Dear students,

As you may have seen, the Government has announced that anyone 25 and older may now get vaccinated.

We’re working with the NHS to try and make vaccinations as accessible as possible for students who are eligible. As part of this, we are pleased to confirm that there will be an NHS pop-up vaccination clinic at the Campus West Sports Centre on Monday 14 June. Depending on vaccine availability and demand we hope to also offer further clinics before the end of term and in September.

The only way to access the campus clinic is by having completed the Student Covid Vaccine Pre-registration form with your email address and booking a slot once you are sent the link. If you have not done so already, please do so now. Availability in the clinic is limited, so we can’t promise space to everyone who is eligible, but by capturing interest we will be able to also plan effectively for any future clinics we are able to run.

Any student aged 25 and over who already completed the pre-registration form and provided an NHS number should have received a text from Nimbuscare with a link to the booking system.

Those aged 25 and over who completed the pre-registration form but did not have an NHS number will be contacted in the next few days.

Any student in York (International, undergraduate or postgraduate) aged 25 and over who has not completed the pre-registration form should complete it now.

I know many of you are under 25 and not yet eligible for the vaccine. We hope to be able to offer future pop-up clinics on campus so if you are likely to be in York over the summer months, I encourage you to complete the pre-registration form so that Nimbuscare have your contact details when the age range is lowered.

If you are not in York, I encourage you to take up the offer of an NHS Covid vaccination whenever and wherever you can. Keep safe and well.

Best wishes
